Gastroenterology

Stomach, liver, pancreas and intestines — looked after by a consultant gastroenterologist who works hand in hand with our physicians. From stubborn acidity to fatty liver picked up on a routine scan, most problems start with a simple OPD conversation, not a procedure.

110+ dedicated gastroenterology admissions this year, and over 100 more managed jointly with the medicine team.

Common questions

Do you do endoscopy and colonoscopy in Indirapuram?

Yes. Dr. Sanchit Singh runs the endoscopy service at Healing Tree Hospital — upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy under sedation, with biopsy when needed, and ERCP for bile-duct stones. Both are day procedures; you go home the same day in most cases.

Can ERCP for bile-duct stones be done here?

Yes — ERCP with stone extraction, sphincterotomy and biliary stenting is performed here, with the surgical team on hand if a gallbladder operation is needed in the same admission.

Is fatty liver serious, and what tests do I need?

Usually not, if caught early — it responds to weight, diet and sugar control. The work-up is a liver function test, sugar and lipid panel, hepatitis screen and an abdominal ultrasound, all done on this campus in one visit, then a conversation with the gastroenterologist.

Consultant Gastroenterologist · Gastroenterology

Runs the endoscopy and colonoscopy service alongside his gastroenterology OPD — acidity that won't settle, fatty liver, pancreatitis and liver disease. He works closely with the medicine team, so an admitted patient's gastro opinion happens on the same corridor, not across town.
