Urology

Kidney stones, prostate enlargement and urinary infections — treated by consultant urologists in a hospital with its own theatres, so an endoscopic stone removal or a prostate operation happens where the diagnosis was made. Over 450 urology OPD visits this year, with the nephrology team next door when kidney function is part of the picture.

450+ urology OPD visits this year, and every stone and prostate procedure done in our own theatres.

Common questions

Do you treat kidney stones in Indirapuram without open surgery?

Yes. Most stones are removed endoscopically at Healing Tree Hospital — ureteroscopy (URS) with DJ stenting for ureteric stones, and PCNL, a keyhole technique, for larger kidney stones. Small stones are often managed with medicines and follow-up ultrasound first.

Is TURP for prostate done here, and is it cashless?

Yes — TURP, the endoscopic prostate operation, is performed by our urologists in our own theatres, and it is covered on CGHS, Delhi Police, UP-ESIC, ECHS, DGEHS and most TPA policies with prior approval, which our desk arranges.

I have blood in my urine — is that an emergency?

Painless blood in the urine needs a urologist within days, not weeks; blood with severe pain, fever or inability to pass urine needs the 24×7 emergency now. In either case the work-up — urine tests, ultrasound and cystoscopy if needed — happens on this campus.
