Psychiatry & Mental Health

Sleep that won't come, worry that won't stop, a sadness that has overstayed — these are medical problems, and they respond to treatment. Our psychiatry OPD offers private, unhurried consultations, sensible medication when it helps, and follow-up that doesn't let you drift.

350+ consultations this year — quiet proof that asking for help works, and that Indirapuram is asking.

Common questions

Is the psychiatry consultation confidential?

Completely. You see the psychiatrist alone in a closed room, records are held like any other medical record, and nothing is shared with employers or family without your consent. Walking in is the hard part; the rest is ordinary medicine.

Will I have to take medicines for life?

Usually not. Most anxiety, depression and sleep problems are treated for a defined period with regular reviews, then tapered. Some long-term conditions do need ongoing medication — the psychiatrist tells you honestly which yours is.

Can I bring an elderly parent with memory problems?

Yes. Memory and behaviour changes in the elderly are assessed jointly with the physicians — blood tests for thyroid and B12 and, where needed, a CT scan of the head, all on campus — before any diagnosis is made.
